The Green Party’s co-founder and former spokesperson Per Gahrton is dead, writes Swedish daily newspaper. The party confirms that Gahrton died overnight on Tuesday.
He was one of the initiators when the party was founded 42 years ago and has himself been a spokesperson for the party. He has also been a member of the Riksdag and the European Parliament.
Per Gahrton was 80 years old.
