Norfolk OPP recently investigated four separate incidents of intimate partner violence and charged five people with spousal assault over the past week.

The most recent incident reported by police occurred Sept. 16 when officers were dispatched to a Norfolk County address at 2:52 am to investigate disturbance.
One person was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Police have charged 32-year-old Norfolk woman with assault and assault with weapon (spouse). She is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Oct. 3.
A day earlier, on Sept. 15, police were sent to a Norfolk County address at 10:51 pm to investigate a disturbance.
One person was taken into custody without incident and police have charged a 45-year-old Norfolk County man with assault (spousal). He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 3.

A 32-year-old Norfolk County woman has been charged with spousal assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance with intent to aggravate or annoy. She is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Oct. 17.
Police were dispatched to a Norfolk address at 11:36 am Thursday (Sept. 14) to investigate a disturbance. Two people were subsequently taken into custody.
A 29-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged with spousal assault and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Oct. 3.
Police also charged a 26-year-old woman from Oakville with spousal assault. She is scheduled to appear in court in Simcoe on Oct. 10.
On Sept. 11 at just before 1 pm police responded to an incident in the county.

A 61-year-old woman was taken into custody and was charged with spousal assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm (spousal) and criminal harassment.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 10.
