The shooter Titanfall 2 is one of the top games on Steam with 94% positive reviews. A surprising update now reactivates the multiplayer mode and drastically increases the number of players. The acclaimed sci-fi shooter currently only costs €3 in the Ultimate Edition.
What was the problem with Titanfall 2?
Surprise update brings back multiplayer and thousands of players
What has changed? As PC Gamer reports, a new official update for Titanfall 2 has appeared out of nowhere that has fixed the multiplayer. In addition, the featured playlist rotation has been updated again.
There’s also currently a sale going on where you can get Titanfall 2 for €3, cheaper than a kebab (via Steam). On Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the game costs just €5 in the normal edition.
Titanfall 2’s player count increased by 587% to 22,327 at its peak. The player surge began on September 5th. The top value was reached on Saturday, September 16th. It is the highest player count that Titanfall 2 has achieved since May 2023.
Cryptic numbers in the Apex Legends update
What does that mean? In the current patch for Apex Legends, a note appeared at the end of the blog entry with 3 numbers:

The 3 numbers are the release dates of Titanfall, Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends as Unitx timestamps (via reddit).
It is now believed that the developers of Titanfall and Apex Legends, Respawn, are either planning a Titanfall Apex Legends or have something else in mind.
