Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is in critical condition and has fallen into a coma. Several media are reporting on the matter. According to them, 47-year-old Kadyrov has been in a coma for several days. Also a representative of Ukrainian military intelligence Andriy Yusov claims that the health condition of Kadyrov, who has led the Chechen Republic since 2007, is critical. Kadyrov has reportedly sought help for his health problems in Dubai.
There have been rumors about military leader Kadyrov’s deteriorating health since the spring. He immediately installed himself as president Vladimir Putin in support of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Putin has thanked Kadyrov by rewarding his inner circle. According to the newspaper, the former deputy prime minister and Kadyrov’s doctor Elkhan Suleymanov may have been murdered. Kadyrov is said to have suspected his former close associate of the poisoning attempt. Suleymanov was fired in October last year and there have been no public sightings of him since then.
