Marguerite Abouet, author of comics that tell the story of Côte d’Ivoire

Marguerite Abouet born in Abidjan, in the popular district of Yopougon, was twelve when she arrived in Paris, where she discovered with wonder the libraries and was passionate about books. She has since been the author of the series “Aya de Yopougon” drawn by Clément Oubrerie, “Akissi” with Mathieu Sapin and “Commissioner Kouamé” with Donatien Mary, volume 2 of which has just been published by Gallimard / Bd.
