Anders from Värmland cut the blockbuster: “A dream to cut”

It is the most expensive film of the year and one of the most expensive made in Sweden. With a budget of around SEK 90 million, it ends up well above the average for a Swedish feature film, which in 2022 was just over SEK 30 million. But even though it was such a big investment, the Kilsbördige film editor did not feel any greater pressure than usual.

– No, I didn’t think about that at all. When we made Tredje vågen, the third Johan Falk film, it was Sweden’s biggest film. This was a bit of the same thing, work as usual, says Anders Nilsson, who has not only edited film throughout his career but also filmed and directed.

In the video above, Anders Nilsson talks about what it was like to cut the film and what he expects from the meetings with the cinema audience.
