Lifting the hockey

The 42-year-old is looking forward to working with hockey again, highlighting what she thinks the sport does better than football.
– Hockey is so much easier to work on, it is so much more open. It’s night and day against football. You don’t make that much of a difference in hockey, there are no stars that way. They treat the media and others like people are people. I thought that was so damn rubbish when I played the big matches and had to interview Sidney Crosby on the ice when he has lifted the dent. After all, football tends to be so incredibly difficult to access, says Nordstrand to Sportbladet.

She also reveals which team’s matches she attended more often than others – the club she holds the highest.
– I come from Sandviken and my interest in hockey varied in different ways while growing up. I went to Brynäs matches and held Brynäs. My family has played in Brynäs and has worked around Brynäs. When I moved to Spain at the age of ten and stayed there until high school, I still stuck to Swedish things, traditions and sports. So I slavishly followed both Sandviken in bandy and Brynäs in hockey to feel a sense of belonging to Sweden, says Nordstrand.
