The accident happened around 11 a.m. on the Jan Blankenbrug between Nieuwegein and Vianen. Several emergency services, including police, ambulance and an air ambulance, were deployed. One passenger became trapped and had to be freed by the fire brigade. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries.
