The two figures – purported to be mummified aliens – are said to have been found in the Peruvian city of Cusco in 2017.
On Tuesday, the copies were shown to politicians in the Mexican Congress.
The two figures displayed in glass cases were small human-like figures with elongated back heads, three fingers and covered with a fine layer of sand.
Testified under oath – been wrong before
Journalist and UFO enthusiast Jaime Maussan testified under oath that the alleged aliens had DNA inconsistent with the evolution of human life on Earth.
In the congress, Jaime Maussan says that the “creatures” were found fossilized in old algae mines in Cusco. He also says they were dated using the carbon 14 method and found to be over 1,000 years old.
The testimony has not been proven by a third party and the same journalist has previously made claims about UFO sightings that later turned out not to be true. Among other things, Maussan has shown mummies that were claimed to be UFOs when in fact they were the mummified remains of children, reports The Independent.
