When Blade Runner was released in 1982, the film world was not yet ready for Ridley Scott’s visionary science fiction epic. At first the film was rejected by the audience before it became a cult film. There is now agreement: Blade Runner is one of the great representatives when it comes to science fiction in the cinema.
For years, Hollywood has tried to get more out of the dystopian story surrounding Blade Runner Rick Deckard. Even Scott was involved in the development of various projects. In the early 2000s he thought about a sequel with the Working title Metropolis After, at the end of the 2000s he had a web series in mind.
