Actress Lynda Baron, who has appeared in many Doctor Who stories, has passed away at the age of 82. Baron first appeared in Doctor Who, in the 1983 classic series “Enlightment” starring Peter Davison’s Fifth Doctor. Playing the Eternal Captain Wrack in a race across the solar system, Baron returned to the role of Val in 2011’s new Doctor Who episode “Closing Time” alongside Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor.

He has also appeared in the 1987 musical Follies in the West End, the 2007 play In Celebration, and other shows such as An Inspector Calls, Stepping Out, and The Full Monty.
