The XX formed in 2005, but Romy Madley Croft, as her real name is, didn’t debut as a solo artist until 2020 with the single “Lifetime”.
Now she has recently released the debut album “Mid air”, created together with producers such as Fred Again, Stuart Price and bandmate Jamie XX.
One of the sources of inspiration for Romy’s sound is Robyn’s “Dancing on my own” as well as the house and disco songs she danced to in queer clubs during the 00s.
