Shortly after 02:00, an alarm was received about a car fire at an address in the urban area. Shortly thereafter, the fire spread to the villa next door. One person who was in the home was able to get out unharmed.
– When we arrived, attempts were made to put it out, but it was already burning so violently. Instead, we let it burn down under controlled conditions, says Andreas Elfström, officer on duty at the Mitt Bohuslän rescue service.
At 4 o’clock the house is still on fire, but according to Elfström there is no risk of spreading.
– It’s a long way to other buildings, says the officer on duty.
It is unclear what may have caused the car fire that spread.
