The Center Party demands a special Riksdag debate on the serious situation with swine fever in Västmanland. The party also demands information from the government regarding compensation for those affected.

“We are now requesting a special debate to demand answers and we expect the government to take account of this in the state budget so that we will not have to discuss the supplementary budget in the future. Those who are affected need to be notified now,” writes Daniel Bäckström, the Center Party’s rural policy spokesperson, in a press release.

The party also demands that talks be started with all parties about how best to support those affected in the long term.
