Charges have been brought against a 16-year-old in Mjölby municipality after he significantly exceeded the speed limit for A-tractors on June 4 this year, Corren reports.

A police patrol saw an A-tractor driving significantly faster than the permitted 30 kilometers per hour and began a chase.

“The undersigned checks the speedometer and notices that the patrol is up to a speed of 200 kilometers per hour and it is not until now that the undersigned realizes that we are catching up to the tractor,” one of the police officers writes in a report from the incident.

The chase went on for three kilometers before the 16-year-old stopped the vehicle.

He is suspected of illegal driving and violation of the regulation on vehicle registration.

The 16-year-old denies any crime and is said to have said at the time that he had not driven faster than 30 kilometers per hour.
