A suspected dangerous object has been found in Gothenburg.
The police are investigating the object – and are asking residents nearby to stay indoors.
– We have blocked off 100 meters in all directions, says police spokesperson Jens Andersson.
During the evening, the police received an alert about a suspected dangerous object outside in Lövgärdet in northern Gothenburg. Patrols went to the scene and are now working to investigate the object.
– There are homes nearby and we knock on doors and inform residents about the situation and ask them to stay indoors, says police spokesperson Jens Andersson to TV4 Nyheterna.
The national bomb protection is informed about the incident.
– They are the ones who have the expert knowledge, says the police.
The police have also cordoned off an area around the suspicious object.
It is unclear what type of object it is.
– We will have to wait for details, says Jens Andersson.
