Suddenly, a very strange animal appeared on the island of Brommö in the Mariestad area. A few centimeters tall, fair, hairless and with a bulging back.
“But God, what is it”
The animal had both wandered onto a balcony and taken walks in the area.
– It came flying across the road. I was out with my dog and was about ten meters away. I thought “But God, what is this”. Then it disappeared into the grass, says Cissi Nygren.
The guesses were many and intense among the neighbors on the small island as to what the strange animal could be.
– It was very, very bright. Like light sand. I wondered if it could be a badger. But it has a long tail and a long nose. My son tried to catch up with it, but it was very, very fast, says Cissi Nygren.
“Not usual”
The Norwegian Veterinary Institute, SVA, has answers to what the animal is:
“Hairless badger, probably with hormonal changes in the adrenal gland, pineal gland or other hormone-producing organ. Not common but not completely unique.”
