Already over the weekend, civilians tried to escape from Irpin on the side of Kiev, but heavy bombardments made it difficult or completely blocked attempts to escape.
Reuters said on Monday that firing in Irpin had taken a break so that at least some of the civilians left in the city could seek refuge.
In the video, the fugitives tell of the heavy firing of the Russians, which in some places has not spared any houses. The fugitives gathered near the destroyed bridge because it was possible to cross the river through the ruins of the bridge.
The crossing point is guarded by soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Authorities said 2,000 civilians were successfully evacuated from Irpin.
