To help support its many social initiatives, ComeTogetherCK will host its first-ever cornhole tournament fundraiser this Sunday at Kingston Park in Chatham.
The tournament welcomes participants of all skill levels in the fun backyard game. It will feature multiple cornhole boards made by community volunteers.
ComeTogetherCK is a local non-profit organization dedicated to fostering community unity.
“We’re delighted to invite everyone to join us for a day of friendly competition and community building,” said Nick Konjuvca, owner of Mamma Maria’s Ristorante, CTCK volunteer and co-organizer of CornTogether cornhole tournament, said in a release.
“Not only will participants have the chance to showcase their cornhole skills, but they’ll also contribute to our efforts in making positive changes within our community.”
The event will run from 11 am to 4 pm
Funds raised will support ComeTogetherCK’s ongoing projects, including The Gift, the future home of the community shop, Takwihleew Pins, community gardens, downtown cleanups and other programs.
Registration for the tournament is open, and participants can sign up individually or as teams of two. Spectators also are encouraged to attend, enjoy the games and participate in various on-site activities, as well as visit multiple food trucks, including the famous Indian Tacos from Walpole Island by Melissa Day.
