(Finance) – While awaiting the decision of the Cagliari court on the suspension request made by the Sardinia Region on merger between the airports of Olbia and Algherothe council of Cagliari Chamber of Commerce has given the green light to the merger of Sogaer (93% controlled) with the airports of Northern Sardinia.
In essence, it is a “integration plan” which involves the creation of a holding with the F2i fund and the Sardinia Foundation. “The completion of the operation is subject to a series of checksincluding, the approval by the competent Ministry of Transport and Antitrust, the favorable opinion of the Court of Auditors, the consent of the Competition and Market Guarantor Authority (AGCM)”, announces the Chamber of Commerce of Cagliari.
The president of the Cagliari Chamber of Commerce, Maurizio De Pascalestated that “this operation does not involve any disposal of the House’s participation in Sogaer, but his replacement with a shareholding in the newly established Holding, with substantial direct and territorial benefits. The concessionaires remain completely unchanged and the safety levels and all the service parameters required by sector regulation are fully guaranteed. Our presence – he added -, with a significant public weight in the adoption of strategic decisions, will guarantee the general and public interest underlying the management of the companies involved. The Chamber of Commerce and the Sardinia Foundation will have the absolute majority of the capital and will therefore be able to oversee the prerogatives of general interest in managing the promotion of relations with the reference communities and the growth of the territory”.
