23:20 – The summary of the match

For its 900th match, the France team won brilliantly this evening against Ireland (2-0). If the meeting was very choppy with numerous faults where the referee Urs Schnyder allowed play, the Blues were able to find the spaces despite the very low block of the Irish. Aurélien Tchouaméni found the fault with a huge strike in the twentieth minute of play before Marcus Thuram scored the break goal in the second period. Note the injury ofOlivier Giroud who has an ankle injury. Thanks to this victory, the Blues retain their first place in group B.

The only downside this evening was that Olivier Giroud was injured. Hit in the right ankle after contact with Egan, the striker gave way to Marcus Thuram.
