It was shortly before 21:00 on Thursday evening that the accident occurred in the eastern direction. The road was closed in both directions after the car overturned and ended up in the ditch in the westbound direction of travel.
Police, ambulance and emergency services were called to the scene. One person was taken to hospital, but it is unclear what the injuries are.
The moose died on the spot and remained on the roadway. After the collision, two more passenger cars collided with the moose.
– No one should have been injured in the subsequent collisions, says Rickard Lundqvist, press spokesperson at the police.
It is unclear when the road may reopen.
