Superbonus, for condominiums an extension of at least 3 months is being studied

Superbonus CNA Already heavily reduced and has not fueled any

(Finance) – One extension of at least three months of the 110% superbonus for condominiums. According to what has been learned, this is the hypothesis under study to guarantee the facilitation to condominiums who have not completed the works by the end of the year. The extension, which would extend the possibility of using the subsidy expiring this year to the first three months of 2024, would in any case be subject to the achievement of a certain work progress thresholdwhich could be around 60-70%. The superbonus, which dropped to 90% in 2023, remained at 110% only for condominiums that had approved the works and presented the Cila by November 2022.

The Bank of Italy is also holding back on the facilitation. “There have been necessary interventions during the pandemic, other necessary interventions due to the increase in energy prices, but they cannot be permanent tools to be maintained over time – says the governor of Bank of Italy Ignazio Visco –. The Superbonus should have ended soon, we have said that it has grown with somewhat strange mechanisms, others have said it”.

Despite the tightening imposed by the government last year with the stop on sales and discounts on invoices and the reduction of the subsidy to 90%, as of August 31st, according to the latest data released by Enea, the iInvestments eligible for deduction for the 110% Superbonus they went up to 85 billion euros, out of a total of investments (including sums not eligible for deduction) of 86.3 billion. All for a charge to be borne by the State (deductions accrued for completed works) equal to 76.1 billion.

The major expense concerns condominiumswhich they absorb 47.2 billion investments, of which 46.9 are eligible for deduction. The rest concerns the villas and functionally independent units, but also 6 castles for which 1.69 million investments and 839 thousand euros are eligible for deduction.

The government is studying a new tightening. “I don’t feel like excluding other interventions in addition to the decalage already envisaged from January 1st, which will bring the incentive to 70% – says the undersecretary for the economy Federico Freni –. The effect of the Superbonus on the public finances has not ended”. Considering the Superbonus data on the economy, the 2023 deficit could be revised upwards in the new Nadef estimates at the end of the month: from 4.5% of GDP indicated in the Def the bar could rise to 5%.

However, the superbonus also had positive effects. According to Nomisma the direct and indirect economic value of the superbonus is around 200 billion, energy savings amount to one thousand euros per family and 30 billion in overall terms.
