The killer’s spectacular escape caught on film

Knife killer Danelo Cavalcante was serving a life sentence in Chester County Prison in Pennsylvania, USA.
But last week, the 34-year-old managed to climb out via a vertical crab walk and escape, reports say
BBC.
Now a reward has been announced for anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest of the killer.

Recently released footage from the prison shows Danelo Cavalcante climbing up both walls in a narrower passage of the prison’s rest yard.

According to the prison director, the institution must have been equipped with razor wire after a previous escape, which, however, had no effect on Cavalcante.

– Although we thought our security methods were sufficient, the opposite was now proven. And we will now act quickly to improve our security measures, says Howard Holland, prison director.

Hit the girlfriend 38 times

34-year-old Danelo Cavalcante is described as dangerous. He was serving a life sentence after being convicted of murdering his girlfriend with 28 stab wounds in April 2021. The brutal murder was allegedly carried out in front of the victim’s two young children.

After Cavalcante climbed up the wall, he is said to have moved on towards the edge of the property and the roof. The last trace of Cavalcante is at the ladder he allegedly used to leave the prison roof.

An intensive police hunt has been launched involving helicopters. Police cars have also been equipped with an audio recording in which Cavalcante’s mother pleads with her sop to hand herself over to the police.

A $20,000 reward has been offered to anyone who can provide information leading to the knife killer’s arrest.
