Dangerous bacteria found in sausages – now more varieties are being stopped

A number of chicken sausages are now being recalled at Coop and Axfood. The reason is suspected listeria bacteria.

– We take this incident very seriously and are now investigating together with the supplier how this could have happened, and how to ensure that it does not happen again, says Axfood’s quality manager Susanna Wadegård.

Axfood supplies food products to Willys, Hemköp, Tempo, Citygross, Mathem and Matfrid.

On August 31, Axfood announced that it was stopping chicken sausages from Eldorado with certain dates. Now all best before dates are stopped.
