The Romanian Defense Minister confirms that several parts of a Russian drone have been found in the area of Plauru, near the border with Ukraine.
This is reported by the Romanian television channel Antena 3 CNN.
Now the NATO country is setting up an investigation into the discovered parts, the country’s Ministry of Defense states.
– Right now we are not sure that they can be connected to this weekend’s attacks, says Constantin Spinu, spokesperson for the department.
Russia is wreaking havoc in the border area
The information about the wreckage first came from Ukraine and the TV channel’s reporters were later able to confirm the information.
In recent days, Russia has carried out a series of attacks in the area around the Romanian border. Last Monday, Ukraine stated that drones had struck Romania, something that was denied by Romania’s Ministry of Defense.
The Kremlin has not commented on the data.
