WC gold hero Ebba Andersson’s clear goal for the winter – now gives the message that everyone is wondering about: “I want it”

Ebba Andersson was a big success last winter.
Now the WC gold hero reveals the goal for the coming season.
– I would like to win that, she admits to the site langd.se.

Last season was a real super success for the Swedish hope Ebba Andersson. She was one of the big medal candidates before the WC season and then stepped into the championship in Planica and convinced everyone.

Andersson’s gold

Andersson left Planica with double WC gold and a total of four WC medals around his neck. However, the coming ski season is completely championship-free and then the 25-year-old has to change his focus.

The main goal now will instead be the World Cup and the coming season offers as many as three World Cup competitions on Swedish soil in the form of Gällivare, Östersund and Falun. For the Swedish World Cup gold hero Ebba Andersson, there will therefore be competitions at home on December 9-10 when the World Cup circus comes to Östersund.

Ebba’s big goal

Something she is really looking forward to.
– It is not a disadvantage to know the tracks and know how to tackle them. There will be x number of laps out here before it’s time. This is not least as the World Cup tracks are largely roller ski tracks. So I’ll be able to sneak a lot out here. But then when it comes to the competition situation on those particular days, you have to rely on form and daily form, says Ebba at a press conference according to langd.se.

Andersson actually made her World Cup debut as a 17-year-old in Östersund in 2015. In addition, she has competed in Skitour 2020 which was decided in Sweden and Norway and had one of her sub-competitions in Östersund.
– Then I came fourth in every competition, so I want revenge there, says the Swede.

But if Ebba Andersson can point out a clear goal she has for the coming season, it is to win the Tour de Ski. The mini tour that Charlotte Kalla and Frida Karlsson are the only ones from Sweden to win.
– The Tour de Ski is the big goal for me. It’s a contest I’d like to win. In order for me to do that, I need to improve my sprinting. So I have added some moments and sprint-specific sessions in my training, she admits at the press conference.
