North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un will go to Russia and meet Vladimir Putin.

This is stated by sources New York Times.

According to the newspaper, the leaders are to discuss possible arms deliveries to Russia.

The trip to Russia will take place in September, according to New York Times sources.

A North Korean delegation is said to have recently traveled to Russia by train to plan for Kim’s upcoming visit. The trial trip is said to have taken around ten days.

During the visit, the leaders will discuss North Korea’s opportunities to supply Russia with more weapons for the war in Ukraine, as well as “other military cooperation”.

It is rare for Kim-Jong Un to leave the country. Now the plan is for him to travel from Pyongyang to Vladivostok in his green armored train. Russian President Vladimir Putin will then receive him there.

Possibly Kim will also travel to Moscow, but that is not certain.

Artillery shells and armor shots

Putin wants Kim to agree to send artillery shells and anti-tank rounds. In return, Kim has asked for advanced satellite technology and nuclear submarines.

Kim has also asked Russia for food aid.

According to the itinerary, which the New York Times has seen, both leaders are to participate in the Eastern Economic Forum, which is taking place in Vladivostok on September 10-13.

Kim is also expected to visit naval vessels from Russia’s Pacific Fleet.

The White House has warned

The White House warned last week that Putin and Kim have exchanged letters about a possible arms deal.

John F Kirby, a spokesman at the White House, said that the countries’ plans for military cooperation are “actively progressing”.

According to the US National Security Council, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu previously traveled to Pyongyang to persuade his North Korean counterpart to sell artillery ammunition to Russia.
