[Mis à jour le 4 septembre 2023 à 16h53] The crown of Miss Midi-Pyrénées was won on September 2, 2023 by Nadine Benaboud. The young woman won against 11 other candidates for the title of regional miss, during the election held in Villemur-sur-Tarn, Haute-Garonne. She is now in the running for the Miss France 2024 contest, which is to take place on December 16 at the Zenith in Dijon.
Nadine Benaboud is 22 years old. Before winning the title of Miss Midi-Pyrénées 2023, the young woman established herself as the beauty queen of the Gers a few weeks earlier. When she’s not parading on the catwalks, Nadine Benaboud works as a customer service representative in a car dealership. She is also passionate about travel, which is not surprising for this young woman of Moroccan origin who also lived in Norway for several years. She speaks not only French, Arabic, Norwegian but also Swedish! Miss Midi-Pyrénées is therefore a veritable polyglot. What bring him luck for the national election?

Miss Midi-Pyrénées is a competition which elects each year a candidate to miss France. Several young women come forward in the hope of becoming the ambassador of Haute-Garonne, Ariège, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Gers, Lot, Hautes-Pyrénées and Aveyron. Since its creation, three Miss Midi-Pyrénées have been elected Miss France: Germaine Laborde in 1929, Jeanne Juilia in 1931 and Chloé Mortaud in 2009.
The last Miss Midi-Pyrenees
- Florence Demortier, 23 at the time of her coronation, represented the former Midi-Pyrénées region during the Miss France 2023 election. Originally from Toulouse, she had a degree in physiotherapy. In the 2023 election, she placed seventh in the contest.
- Hannah Friconnet, 22, wore the scarf of Miss Midi-Pyrénées during the Miss France 2021 election. Originally from the vicinity of Castres, she was studying communication in Toulouse at the time of her coronation. She did not, however, qualify in the top 15 in the national beauty pageant.
- Emma Arrebot-Natou: Emma Arrebot-Natou was chosen last September to represent the former Midi-Pyrénées region at Miss France 2021. Miss Midi-Pyrénées 2020 was following, at the time of her election, a BTS international trade at Ersac Toulouse. Originally from the Pink City, the young woman was only 19 years old. However, she did not rank in the top 15 during the national Miss France election in December 2020.
- Andrea Magalhaes: In 2019, Andréa Magalhaes was elected Miss Midi-Pyrénées. Aged 21, the young woman was first elected Miss Gers before being chosen to represent the former region of Occitania. A biology student in Toulouse, her life goal was to work at the Oncopole, the cancerology campus in the pink city. However, she did not rank in the Miss France 2020 election.
- Axel Breil: Axelle Breil was elected Miss Midi-Pyrénées in 2018. The candidate distinguished herself by being particularly committed to the cause of children. Ea law student, she wanted to become a juvenile judge. “I will feel more useful. This is an area that fascinates me,” she explained in La Dépêche du Midi. In addition to this, in the event of her election, she would like to support hospitalized children. She did not place in the Miss contest France 2019, but had won the Regional Costume Prize.
