In a statement made by TikTok on social media, “The safety of our employees and users continues to be our highest priority. In light of Russia’s new ‘fake news’ law, while we review the security implications of this law, we have no choice but to suspend live streaming and distribution of new content to our video service,” the statement said, adding, “Our in-app messaging service will not be affected.”

“We will continue to evaluate the evolving conditions in Russia to determine when we can fully resume our services as safety is our top priority,” the statement said.
NETFLIX ALSO ANNOUNCED
