Sinner beat the veteran Wawrinka
Sixth-seeded Italian Jannik Sinner is through to the US Open after beating veteran Stan Wawrinka 6–3, 2–6, 6–4, 6–2.
Wawrinka, who won US 2016, initially stood up well against his 16-year-younger opponent, winning the second set after losing the first.
But then 22-year-old Sinner tightened the grip and took home the match in four sets.
