The rivalry between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone represents perhaps the greatest screen rivalry of all time. For more than a decade they competed in films such as Rambo II – The Order, The Phantom Commando or The City Cobra for the biggest biceps, the rudest sayings and most fatalities. As Stallone tells Variety, they met at the 1977 Golden Globe Awards. Stallone’s Rocky was nominated for six awards as a huge hit, Schwarzenegger was hoping for an award for his role in the indie film Mister Universe. But they didn’t like each other from the start.
