The Norwegian Nobel Committee, like the Swedish Nobel Foundation, should exclude Russia from the award ceremony, writes Oleh Nikolenko, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on his Facebook page.

He calls the Swedish Nobel Foundation’s decision to withdraw the invitations to the ambassadors from Russia, Belarus and Iran a “victory of humanism”, and continues:

“We thank all who demanded the restoration of justice. Our belief is that similar decisions should be made regarding the ambassadors of Russia and Belarus in Oslo”.

In Oslo, over the years, they have consistently invited all ambassadors in the country to the award ceremony of the peace prize.
