At gamescom 2023 there was trouble about Red Bull’s “Lounge”. Not all influencers were allowed in there. In particular, the twitch streamers Cake.tv and Scurrows felt left out despite their large reach. As a result, both streamers got excited about a scandal surrounding the GTA streamer “Filow”: He is said to have personally excluded unloved guests from the lounge. Videos were shot and “scandal” was shouted. As Filow explained later, that was just showing off. He doesn’t have the position to exclude anyone.

“We are the only real influencers”
This is what they say on the Twitch stream:
Scurrows wonders why Tobias Huch is not allowed in the lounge. After all, he says there are “35,000 genders.”
Cake.tv concludes: “We are the only real influencers. You can tell by the fact that we’re chilling here, not in the Red Bull Lounge.”
It is then agreed that whoever comes into the Red Bull Lounge is “controversial” – except for HoneyPuu, who is cool. Cake.tv suggests four people storming into the Red Bull Lounge, of course you can only hold a maximum of three there.
While the vibe is moody, it seems the three of them have a grudge against not being allowed into this lounge. It’s a present topic of conversation, mainly because Cake.tv is apparently hungry, but there’s nothing between the teeth in the normal influencer area.
Streamer claims: He had another one delisted
What was that scandal? After gamescom, the streamer Cisko G. published a video in which he said that he had first been accepted and was allowed to go to the Red Bull Lounge, but was later uninvited.
In a podcast, GTA streamer Filow indicated that he was responsible for Cisko G. being removed from the list:
He was initially accepted. Then I read the name. Then he was rejected.
Filow gave the reason that Cisko G. does not fit the value system and only does “troll shit.”
“VIOLENT SCANDAL”
This was the reaction of the streamers: Cake.tv promptly published a video: “VIOLENT SCANDAL in the RED BULL LOUNGE at GAMESCOM”, in which he denounced Filow’s behavior. Filow had nothing to do with Cisko G., the two only clashed once at a Rust tournament.
Cake.tv interpreted Cisko G.’s invitation as a “revenge action” by Filow.

MontanaBlack, in turn, reacted to the cake TV video and also increased the reach:
Scurrows and Tobias Huch also took the statement seriously and got excited on Twitter: It was a disgusting move by Red Bull. They would “celebrate themselves as a moral authority” and did dirty things, according to Scurrows.
Scurrows announced he would hire his lawyer to notify Red Bull that “even great creators” have been denied access (via twitter).
Scandal turned out to be an embarrassing bravado by Filow
What was the problem? None of the three seemed seriously questioning whether it’s even credible that a mid-sized Twitch streamer could have enough influence over Red Bull to dictate who gets into the lounge and who doesn’t.
Because that would be absolutely unprofessional behavior by Red Bull.
The “HIGH SCANDAL” later turned out to be pure boasting by Filow. He admitted after the shitstorm: he just wanted to make himself important. He wanted to feel cooler and more important than he was. He’s not in the position to invite or uninvite people. The responsible agency is responsible for this.
What he did, boasting about the exclusion of Cisko G., was just incredibly embarrassing and cringe.
Streamers don’t let statements count
How are the twitch streamers reacting? They also made videos and tweets about this statement. But they don’t seem to take the actually conclusive-sounding statement “I wanted to make myself more important than I am” seriously.
Scurrows says Filow is blaming management. He asks: who does he think he’s kidding?
Cake.tv has also released another video for Filow’s “bad statement”, to which MontanaBlack reacted promptly.
