A former SS guard is charged with complicity in the murder of 3,300 people in a Nazi camp during World War II.
The man, who is now 98 years old, was an SS guard at the Sachenhausen concentration camp outside Berlin for two years. Now he is accused of having “participated in the cruel and malicious killing of thousands of prisoners”, says prosecutor Thomas Hauburger.
As the man was a teenager when the suspected crimes were committed, the legal case will be decided by a juvenile court.
