Ángeles Béjar on Monday locked herself in a church in southern Spain and began a hunger strike because she believed her son was the victim of a witch hunt after kissing Spanish national team player Jennifer Hermoso after the soccer World Cup final.
The mother was still in hospital overnight for observation after she became dizzy, vomited and suffered from anxiety.

He has received an enormous amount of criticism for that, and the International Football Association Fifa has also suspended him for three months under investigation. Rubiales risks suspension for many years from all football activities. Spain’s football federation has called on Rubiales to resign.
