One Piece is one of the greatest anime hits of all time. Netflix’s One Piece adaptation has apparently cost more than Game of Thrones and promises to be one of the biggest shows of the year once it airs August 31, 2023 is published. In a final trailer before the start, the pirate crew around Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) once again shows their most powerful side.

Netflix Highlight 2023: One Piece is more expensive than Game of Thrones
One Piece revolves around young Luffy, who once wants to be king of all pirates. He puts together a crew that includes swordsman Zoro (Mackenyu) and thief Nami (Emily Rudd). Together they declare war on maritime villains like the fish-man Arlong (McKinley Belcher III).
Netflix is well aware of the importance of One Piece for all manga and anime fans. The streamer apparently also invested a lot of money in the series. It is said to be even more expensive than Game of Thrones at $18 million per episode.
When is One Piece coming to Netflix?
One Piece will be released on August 31, 2023 at Netflix. The first season consists of eight episodes in total. In addition to the actors mentioned above, action veteran Vincent Regan (300) can be seen in front of the camera.
