A 30-year-old man was shot on Sunday.
Last night, fire was opened at an apartment window and a 27-year-old man was hit.
Both attempted murders in Nyköping are linked to a secret list of targets for violent crimes, according to information to TV4 Nyheterna.
In a short time, two serious violent crimes have occurred in Nyköping.
The first crime took place on Sunday afternoon. Several shots were fired at a 30-year-old man in a townhouse area. He was hit in the lower body by one and taken to hospital.
The night before today, shortly after 01:00, the second shooting took place. The shooter was standing outside an apartment building and shot a 27-year-old man in the upper body through a window.
Ongoing conflict: Several targets listed
Both men are already known to the police and convicted of crimes. They occur frequently in the gang environment in Nyköping.
TV4 Nyheterna can now tell you that the police recently drew up a list, based on intelligence, of people who are believed to be planning murders linked to an ongoing conflict.
One of the directly identified targets in the survey was the 30-year-old man who was shot on Sunday.
The 27-year-old who was shot last night is also linked to the same list through a close relative, but is not listed on it himself.
Released from questioning – shot
After Sunday’s attempted murder, several people are said to have been taken in for questioning. The 27-year-old man was one of them, according to TV4 Nyhetern’s information.
Sources with insight into the gang environment in the municipality state that there is currently no known conflict between the 27- and 30-year-old. The latter shooting is therefore not being investigated as revenge for the first.
– There is another theory about a possible motive behind both events, says an informant.
No one has been arrested in the cases. The police calls for tips from the public who saw or heard something from the shootings.
