Master director David Fincher could not quite live up to expectations with Mank. His latest Netflix project looks all the better for it: With The Killer he finally returns to his roots and delivers extremely stylish action thriller which – based on the trailer – is reminiscent of the Fight Club era.
The Killer is about the Film adaptation of the comic book of the same name by author Alexis Nolent and illustrator Luc Jacamon. Fincher wanted to bring the material to the cinema as early as 2007, and it would ultimately take more than a decade before the project became concrete – under the umbrella of the Netflix streaming service.

Paris at night. The killer (Michael Fassbender), an unnamed man in modest clothing, watches his victim’s plush apartment across the street, gun at the ready. He carefully monitors every step to ensure that his job runs smoothly … but things don’t turn out that way.
