Destiny 2 developers have prepared the latest update 7.2.0.2. In order to perform this update, the game will be temporarily offline, resulting in a server outage. MeinMMO tells you when and for how long you cannot gamble.
What you need to know today: According to Bungie’s official announcement, Destiny 2 will be temporarily offline today to apply the 7.2.0.2 update. This is important because with Season 22 some bugs crept back into the game that you want to fix before the start of the raid race this weekend.
In addition, Bungie indicated a change to Steam for older Windows systems.
As of January 1st, 2024, Steam will officially end support for the Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems. After this date, the Steam client will no longer run on these versions of Windows.
To continue using Steam and any games or other products purchased through Steam, including Destiny 2, gamers must update to a newer version of Windows. Check out Steam’s article for more information.
It is this Season 22 that is jinxed:
Maintenance on 08/29 – All times to the server down
These times are important today: Bungie has informed players of the exact times via Twitter. The planned downtime today is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Here is the exact maintenance schedule:
Background maintenance starts at 3:00 p.m. on all platforms.
Around 4:15 p.m. the servers go offline. Players are automatically kicked out of the game.
During the downtime, Bungie will launch Season 22 Update 7.2.0.2. It will be rolled out gradually so that players on all platforms can download it.
At 7 p.m. everything should be online again and the new week will start.
The maintenance will then continue until 8:00 p.m., but only in the background.
Important: As long as the background maintenance is running, there can always be connection problems in the game. In addition, there may be queues when logging in after the maintenance, because Bungie only releases access to the servers gradually to avoid load problems.
Also, keep in mind that third-party applications and the official companion app may also not be accessible correctly for a while, preventing you from using them.
This changes with Update 7.2.0.2 in Season 22
That brings the update7.2.0.2today: After most of the bugs in Lightfall were successfully fixed, Season 22 called “Season of the Witch” has increased the workload for Bungie Support again.
Here is the list of currently known issues:
The Tissue Walk description doesn’t mention that Wardens must have at least a full melee charge in order to use the Aspect. Attempting to use Tissue Walk without a full melee charge will do nothing.
The Revelation quest cannot be completed if Guardians listen to the new lore in Shroud Containment before receiving the quest from Nimbus.
The Veteran Flair teleport effect is missing from player accounts.
The Artifact perk Source Perk Specialization II no longer overloads Season 22 weapons when the modifiers are active.
The Ascension VIII card from the Whisper Deck causes the Guardians to burn unusually quickly.
Various Exotics cannot be purchased from the Lost Lights Memorial, even if players have the correct DLC.
The Unstoppable Taken Phalanx is immune to damage from headshots.
Some may experience a pop-up with an open event card getting stuck on their screen.
The opening date of the top twilight is incorrectly given as June 13th. This is wrong; the correct date is September 12th.
The Phosphorescent shader currently visible in Collections is not an actual item, it was added to the game unintentionally. This will be removed in a future update. Learn more from the Destiny 2 team.
Some players reported that they didn’t see the cinematic of Eris’ transformation.
The Defiant Ghost projection features a projection from the Season of the Witch.
Some Guardians report that the clan banner is not displayed for them even though they are already in a clan. Players should speak to Hawthrone in the tower to retrieve their missing clan banner.
Icons are missing from the Prophecy Desk in the HELM.
The Hive Portal in the HELM is missing parts of its transport technology. Guardians who can’t get through the portal right away should slide through, not jump, to make it safe.
The Paracausal Path badge does not appear in Collections.
There are various issues with the new Crucible Relic mode such as: B. “Relic Power Charged” appearing multiple times in the feed and arrow waypoints persist across depots after they expire.
The “Festival Dance” emote was unintentionally changed to “Samba”.
Some players are unable to purchase Ascendancy Alloy or Enhancement Prisms from Rahool’s Special Assignments while past the old cap.
Player name changes are not infinitely customizable through bungie.net. Several “Number Guardians” continue to wait here for the option to change their player name again, instead of getting the “You don’t have any name changes available” message.
If you know of other bugs in the game that are not listed here, please feel free to share them in our comments section.
