The end of summer is approaching and it’s time to prepare for the start of the school year. To attack this new season, like a seasoned beautysta, here are 10 commandments to put in place as soon as you get back to work. Beneficial effects guaranteed!
So dreaded, it is fast approaching: it’s back to school! This is the perfect opportunity to review your beauty routine and start on a healthy basis. In order to feel the benefits all year long, we have listed 10 beauty resolutions for you to keep from now until next summer. So, ready to take up the challenge?
1. Refresh your haircut
If your hair has been particularly abused during the summer season, it’s time to give it a boost. Damaged ends and split lengths, take stock with your hairdresser to sport a new cut, fresh for the start of the school year. The most seasoned can also do it at home. Several options are available to you: shorten your tips, standardize your coloring, structure your face with a gradient or even opt for a fringe! Your hair will then find shine and suppleness, ready to face the fall temperatures.
2. Establish a sports program
In order to erase the few kilos of vacation, bet on a sports routine. Between friends or family, share an online table in which you will indicate the respective physical exercises carried out. The goal? Get motivated together to make it a real ritual all year round. You can also target a common sports goal, enroll in a new sports class or even film your fitness sessions to share them around you.
3. Sort out your bathroom
What if we tried to see more clearly on the side of your beauty shelves? Start by storing your sunscreens in a dry, cool and dark place so you can reuse them next summer. Be sure to look at the expiration dates and close the containers properly. If several products do not have the expected effects, sort them out. Keep the bare necessities and your skin will feel better. Remember to wash your brushes and your hairbrush, the objective being to eliminate bacteria and find clean accessories.
4. Give your nails nourishing care
Weakened, brittle and sometimes split, have your nails suffered from the summer? Opt for a hand treatment. If the repeated application of varnish, the sea and the sun can yellow the surface of the nail, erase its unsightly imperfections by offering you a refreshing manicure. For this, the length is shortened, the cuticles are removed and the nail is nourished with a suitable oil. A touch of transparent varnish for long-lasting protection and you’re done!
5. Revamp your skin with a facial
You have chained beach days and cumulated late evenings, your skin feels it. This is why, in order to compensate for this lack of sleep and hydration, we recommend that you salon facial treatment. For example, a micropeel will allow you to prolong your tan while restoring radiance to your complexion and deep hydration will bring you the elasticity altered following long exposure to UV rays. You can also redraw the oval of your face by requesting an appropriate treatment or redefine your look with microblading of the eyebrows.
6. Drink 1.5 to 2L of water a day
It is also possible to set daily challenges. Consider in particular drink as much water as possible every day. Excellent for hydrating your skin, draining your body of toxins and fighting cellulite, water is your best ally for preserving your beauty capital. The little trick? Add 1L of water to your bottle and commit to filling it at least once a day.
7. Change your sheets more often
We cannot repeat it enough, changing your sheets regularly is particularly beneficial for your skin and hair. The ideal would also be to change your pillowcase after each shampoo. A veritable nest of bacteria, your pillow accumulates perspiration, sebum and friction from your hair. Therefore, by sleeping in clean sheets, you protect yourself from these impurities and don’t interfere with your beauty routine.
8. Go to bed earlier
Puffiness, dark circles, dull complexion and low morale, lack of sleep is often right for your skin. Then start the new school year by promising yourself to sleep longer and therefore by going to bed early. You will find a natural radiance and an overflowing energy. However, be sure to avoid screens before going to sleep.
9. Space out your shampoos
If the ritual can be difficult to maintain, take advantage of these few days before the start of the school year to start the process. Try washing your hair only once a week. In order to pamper your scalp and your lengths, space out your shampoos. Establish this new habit that will allow your hair to regrease less quickly and to appear more sheathed. Know that the sebum cure is very beneficial for rehydrating your hair fiber!
10. Do a lymphatic massage once a month
In order to perpetuate your beauty resolutions related to your silhouette, bet on lymphatic massage. Helping to circulate the lymph in the body, this massage treatment eliminates all toxins, so your cellulite is visibly reduced and your skin looks firmer. To be repeated once a month for optimal efficiency, make your little crosses in your calendar for a sculpted silhouette all year round.
