Utrecht – If it is up to the council, Utrecht will not be banned for the time being on barbecues, fire pits and fireplaces to improve air quality and prevent nuisance situations. At the moment there is still too much uncertainty about the costs, enforceability and support for a wood-burning ban. This is stated by the city council after studying a proposal from council members of GroenLinks and Party for the Animals.
