Preparations for the next free Destiny 2 Legacy Raid have started. This time, “Crota’s End” awaits the Guardians. Whether you’re new to this sci-fi world of loot shooter or veteran Wardens thirsty for nostalgia, there’s some essential information you should know before diving into the raid race for Worlds First.
What awaits you: Starting in 2021, Bungie continues the tradition of bringing popular raids from the original Destiny to Destiny 2. A new raid and a classic raid will therefore be released every DLC year. The current game is not only becoming more extensive, but also increasingly combines content from both Destiny worlds.
With that, the revamped raid, Crota’s End, promises an equally intense experience full of thrills and rewards for those who rise to the challenge. All About the Day-One and Worlds First of Crota’s End

What is Worlds First competitive mode? As always, for the first few hours after the raid starts, there will be a competitive mode that will challenge you.
Basically, it’s a nightmarish version of the affected raid, where Guardians can cut their teeth for several hours.
When can you play the raid? The Crotas End Raid starts in Destiny 2 on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Competitive mode remains active for 48 hours. After 48 hours, players who don’t like it that stressful can also discover the raid.
What power level is required? You must have reached 1790 power to reach the cap for all encounters in the raid.
What are the rules for the World First race? The rules are similar to the Race for Worlds First for the Vault of Glass and King’s Fall Legacy Raids.
In the first run of Crota’s End, Guardians must complete the raid once in competitive mode. Once you’ve done that, you’ll have access to more Triumph Challenges.
This select list of Triumph challenges must now also be completed in Competitive mode in order to complete the Triumphs. However, if you don’t complete the challenge in an encounter, your fireteam will be sent back to orbit and you’ll have to start over.
Bungie made some changes to the competition mode in Season 22 to keep it crisp due to the lack of level requirements. They are designed to uphold the challenge of achievement relative to the ever-increasing skill level of the player.
How many encounters does the Crota’s End raid have? The raid has a total of 4 encounters that you should master.
What are the rewards? The first team to successfully complete both objectives will be awarded the title of “Worlds First” and each member will be awarded a unique physical winner’s belt with their name on it.
All other teams that finish the race in the first 48 hours will be rewarded with a unique badge for their impressive performance.

Earn new armor and a Raid Exo: Bungie is bringing back Crota’s legendary year 3 weapons and glowing armor with the raid. They were popular trinkets in Destiny 1 and will soon adorn Guardians in Destiny 2 as well.
This is the raid exo: The raid exo “Necrochasm” will also return with the raid. An exotic fast-firing auto rifle. It’s quite unique and has the potential to become one of the best primary ammo weapons in Destiny 2.

However, keep in mind that these details of the weapon from Destiny 1 could have changed a bit. Initial information has also revealed that there will also be a catalyst for the weapon. However, it is not yet known how this is earned. But its effect is intended to give the weapon a souped-up “Desperado” perk to lend.
What is the Crota’s End Raid about? Crota’s End is a Destiny raid introduced with the Darkness Lurks expansion.
After being betrayed by his sisters Savathûn and Xivu Arath, the raid boss from “Kingfall” Oryx decided he needed children to continue his lineage and ensure his tribute flow was always greater than that of his siblings. And so Crota, the Hive Prince, was born.
After the collapse of his father Oryx’s empire, Crota sought revenge and planned to conquer the moon where the Pyramid of Nezarek had been buried since the Traveler’s attack. So his spawn hollowed out the moon, also known as “Hell’s Maw”, to lead invasions of Earth from there.
He wielded a notorious sword as his weapon, with which he mercilessly slew countless Guardians. For more than a century this war raged on the moon and the people of Earth called it “The Great Cataclysm”.
Eriana-3 was also there with a fireteam of five Guardians to assassinate Crota right on his throne world and stop his plans. But even they were no match for the hordes of the Hellmouth Hive.
Only one Guardian survived this mission: Eris Morn. That “survival” changed them into who they are in the game today.
Despite this great victory for the Hive, Crota’s plans to further conquer humanity were put on hold due to a series of unforeseen circumstances. He was weakened by this and had to bind his soul to an Ascendant Crystal.
Eris saw an opportunity here, obsessed with revenge for her fireteam and killing Crota. As Crota’s resurrection drew near and she foresaw it, she led more Guardians to the Moon to use Crota’s own sword logic against him, permanently killing him.
This is what players can now expect in Season 22 in the Crota’s End Raid.
Who can play the raid? Anyone who wants to. Crota’s End will fall into the Legends category in Destiny 2. So be a so-called legacy raid. This means that the raid is available to all players for free and does not require owning an expansion. Just like the other returnee raids “The Glass Chamber” and “King’s Fall”.
