  • Young man attacked outdoors – the police are hunting unknown perpetrators

    A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital by ambulance after he was attacked by two unknown assailants on Södermalm in Stockholm during the evening.

    – He has been badly beaten and has received a head injury. Otherwise, the damage situation is unclear, says Mikael Pettersson, officer on duty at the police.

    The police are now looking for the two perpetrators.

    – They left the scene. We have blocked off pending a possible technical investigation, says Mikael Pettersson.

  • Trump wants to appeal

    Donald Trump wants to appeal Judge Chutkan’s decision to start the trial in Washington DC on March 4, 2024.

    The earthquake’s magnitude was measured at 7.1 and occurred 20 miles north of the island at a depth of roughly 500 kilometers.

    An aftershock occurred shortly afterwards which was measured at 5.6, reports TT.

    There are currently no reports of injuries or damage caused by the earthquake.

  • Hungary’s NATO statement: Not in agreement with Stockholm

    Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szjijjarto says that a decision will be made on Sweden’s NATO application when the parliament convenes in September.

    However, he states that they have not succeeded in “resolving the controversial issues with Stockholm”.

    The police are investigating a suspected workplace accident after a gas container caught fire at a workplace in the I20 area in Umeå.

    – The object has been rendered harmless. We were on site and punctured the bottle, cooled it down and prevented it from bursting, says a line operator at SOS.

    The workplace was cordoned off in connection with the operation.
