Fourth suspect arrested in connection to violent robbery in Norfolk

A fourth person has been charged in connection to a violent robbery in the Courtland area.

The robbery on Second Street occurred shortly after 5 am on Monday, Aug. 21.

Four people made their way to the property. Three members of the group entered a shed where they brandished an edged weapon as they demanded money from the two occupants, said Norfolk OPP.

Three suspects were apprehended by police and charged. At the time police said they expected to make more arrests in the case.

A fourth suspect was arrested on Thursday.

The 47-year-old Norfolk man has been charged with two counts of robbery with violence and two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He was held in custody to await a bail hearing.

Two Norfolk County women, one aged 31 and the other aged 50, were both charged earlier in the week with two counts of robbery with violence and one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

A 32-year-old Norfolk man has been charged with two counts of robbery with violence.
