Storm in Mallorca and eastern Spain cancels flights

Cruise ships collided

The newspaper Majorca Daily Bulletin reports that a pregnant woman had to be taken to hospital after being hit by a falling sign in the Calvia region. Two children on air mattresses had to be rescued out to sea after being swept away by the winds.

Flights are cancelled

Due to the storm, both train traffic and air traffic have been forced to take measures. Hundreds of flight departures at the airports in Palma, Ibiza and Menorca have had to be canceled or redirected during the evening, writes El Periodico.
