Last week, WhatsApp announced that it has added support for HD photos, offering an option to send photos from WhatsApp in high resolution. At the time, the company said that HD video support would be coming soon. The expected development in this regard has finally taken place.
HD VIDEO PERIOD ON WHATSAPP
In a statement to TechCrunch, the company confirmed that HD video support is available to both iOS and Android users.
Similar to the HD photos feature, the HD videos feature also gives users the option to share high-definition videos via WhatsApp.
Previously, high-definition videos were compressed to 480p based on the previous resolution limit of the app. Now users will be able to send their videos in HD.
The process here is the same as HD photo sharing.
