Despite low cloud cover and heavy rain in the air, the crowd came in droves to Krigsflygfäll 16, an airfield that was established with a total of 40 similar airfields during the Second World War. Brattforsheden is the only preserved war airfield in the country from that time.
The fact that Värmlanders made the pilgrimage to experience the unique environment, with staff dressed in period uniforms, made the organizer happy.
– Interest has obviously increased because there are so many here. It’s crowded on Heden, said a happy Fredrik Clerkestam to SVT Nyheter Värmland.
