Tomorrow, August 27, 2023, will be day two of the global Pokémon GO Fest 2023. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming next.
This is the GO Fest: On Saturday, August 26th, the global GO Fest started with Day 1. There, among other things, there was the special research with Diancie as well as hourly rotating habitats full of spawns.
Now the second day of the GO Fest 2023 is coming up.
When does day 2 start? The second day takes place tomorrow, August 27th, starting again at 10:00 and running until 18:00. What can you expect from it? We show you here.
GO Fest 2023: Day 2 comes with Mega Rayquaza as the highlight
This brings the second day: Mega Rayquaza’s appearance should be the highlight for many players. The legendary dragon will feature in the Mega Raids and is sort of this weekend’s boss.

On Sunday you will receive special research around Rayquaza, which will bring you the crucial item “Meteorite”. You need this to teach Rayquaza the attack Zenith Striker, which in turn is a prerequisite for the monster’s Mega Evolution.
This special research should also be available to players without a ticket for GO Fest 2023. If you bought a ticket, the research should be expanded to include another meteorite. That means you can teach two Rayquaza the attack.
You also need Mega Energy for Rayquaza. They come from the mega raids. We show you the best counters against Rayquaza here. With one ticket you get up to 9 raid passes again that day when you spin the photo discs at the arenas.
What else happens on day 2? Unlike Day 1, there will be no rotating habitats. Instead, the event spawns will be spread out throughout the day, but will spawn indiscriminately. So you still have the opportunity to catch some of the most exciting monsters of GO Fest.
In the raids you will also continue to find Pokémon like Rocara or the Snorlax with a cowboy hat.
