The Prime Ministers of Finland and Sweden met on Friday at the Swedish Prime Minister’s summer residence in Harpsund.
Prime minister Petteri Orpo (co.k.) has visited Sweden on Friday, where he has met the Swedish Prime Minister during the day by Ulf Kristersson with this summer apartment in Harpsund.
At the end of the discussions, Orpo and Kristersson will organize a joint press conference, which is expected to start around 16:30 Finnish time.
During the day, the prime ministers have discussed, among other things, supporting Ukraine, the relations between Finland and Sweden, the countries’ defense cooperation and the general security situation.
According to preliminary information, the prime ministers were also supposed to discuss the green transition, competitiveness, current EU issues and other international issues.
The Prime Minister of Finland has traditionally visited both Tallinn and Stockholm soon after the appointment of the government. Orpo already visited Tallinn at the beginning of July.
